Parent's Club
"The Parents of the Dragon" is the parents club for the USC chapter of Beta Theta Pi. The club was reestablished in 2009 in order to provide support for the chapter and to provide a way for those parents who live far away to stay connected to and to enhance your son's college experience. We are working with the Executive Board of the house as well as the Chapter Advisors to offer some special activities throughout each school year:
Senior Dinner - May 12, 2011
All seniors and their parents are invited to join us for a special evening at Trader Vic's at L.A. Live. This is a popular tradition with the other fraternities at USC and we are excited to add it to our calendar of events. Members of the Executive Board will be invited to come for a wonderful celebration with our Beta seniors. www.tradervicsla.com
USC Family Weekend - October 29 & 30, 2011.
This year, we will host a dinner party on Friday at the Beta house and on Saturday, will join the brothers on campus for their traditional game-day picnic. Food for Finals
We provided some "Food for Finals" during First Semester exams and the boys really enjoyed the break from studying. Thank you to the Aden family for providing pizza one night. We plan to offer 2 or 3 meals during the next round of finals - any ideas or suggestions are welcome!
House Beautification
Throughout the year, we help refresh areas of the house that need special attention. One project that we plan to tackle this summer is the guest restroom downstairs. At Christmastime, we decorated the house with trees and lights - many of the guys enjoyed helping out while others are just excited to see that the parent elves have arrived with some holiday cheer. Special thanks to Jack and Pam McCormick for helping keep the house looking great and to Kristy Abbott and Danusia and Was Keusder for your help with the holiday decorating.
IFPC
Interfraternity Parents Council (IFPC) supports the Greek system at USC by offering programs for both parents and students as well as scholarships for senior men who are part of a member group. The group also makes annual visits to the houses and distributes House Appearance Awards at the Greek Awards Banquet each April. http://alumni.usc.edu/groups/alumnae/ifpc.html

If you live in the Southern California area, we encourage you to join us at IFPC meetings and to become active in our board. You can be active outside of the area too and we appreciate the outstanding support of our Beta parents.
