KATE MARCHANT is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, where she majored in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing and minored in Two-Dimensional Studies (a comprehensive study of drawing, painting, and 2D design).

She coded this website from scratch for her final project in ITP 104: Web Publishing.

For almost seven years, Kate has been most well known at the author of serialized young adult fiction on Wattpad, a popular online writing community and mobile app, where she has over 97k followers. Her hit novel Float has over 18 million reads.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kate refused to become a Los Angeles Lakers fan, but she did appreciate LA's brunch culture and food trucks. When she's not writing (or finishing up her coding final), Kate enjoys baking banana bread, stalking Goodreads for another book to add to her cluttered shelves, and watching House Hunters and Cutthroat Kitchen.
